Your first session
Your language, your pace
The first session lasts 60 minutes. You do not need to prepare anything.
Step 1: Before
We send you a link to the intake form, which lives on the practice's own portal and not on this site. If you pay yourself, you also receive the written Good Faith Estimate.
Step 2: During
Lupe explains how she works, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy. Then she listens. You decide the language and how much to share.
Step 3: After
The two of you decide whether to continue and at what pace. Payment is at the end. If you would rather look for someone else, we give you names.
Language and pace
You set how we talk here
Some people begin in Spanish and end in English, and some need both languages for a single idea. Both are fine.
Mixing is allowed
If a word only exists in one of the languages, we use that word.
No rush
If a subject needs more time, it waits for another day.
Your limits count
You decide what to share and what not to. Lupe explains it in writing, just like confidentiality.
